David Hockneys 'Drawing From Life' exhibition was at The National Portrait Gallery showcasing his extensive work. During this time, I was tasked with designing various David Hockney inspired motifs for The National Portrait Gallery Youth Club. As these would become fun tattoo transfers, the style needed to be monochrome, simple and non realistic in design, but also have a cartoony appeal. Each design also adding a nod to some of David Hockneys most notable works.
